“As Your Love, in wave after wave.
Crashes over me, crashes over me.
For You are for us,
You are not against us.
Champion of Heaven,
You made a way for all to enter in…….

Tybee Island, GA, what a beautiful place to visit.
It’s a special place for my husband and I, it’s where we celebrated his Grandparents 50th wedding anniversary the year we got married (so kinda a second honeymoon for us ) it was amazing to see the commitment and love between his Grandparents even after 50 years. So we went back again in early May to see the beautiful Island again, to remember the wonderful feelings of being surrounded by love and family. It is a great place to see many unique things such as Fort Pulaski National Monument, Tybee Island Lighthouse (you can go all the way up to the top!), to walk on the beach and also to find seashells. Along with some good food :). While Tybee may not be my favorite beach to find seashells (As I can never find the big ones), it is one of the quietest beaches I’ve been to in terms of people and wildlife. It is only a 20 minute drive to downtown Savannah, GA as well so we went and explored the City market, which has lots of cool little artists shops; we met two of them both Russian (my husband is Russian so we had fun talking to them about their experiences and what brought them to America). There were many other unique things to see and do (especially the horse drawn historic carriage tours), dessert tasting tours, boat tours, walking tours… A little bit of everything for everyone.
The song I quoted up above kept running through my head as we were on Tybee and in Savannah. I love this song and I so need the reminder of His love every day. I am not alone, and He makes me brave enough to wake up every morning with a smile on my face and a spring in my step. I am enough for Him, I don’t have to change who I am or pretend to be someone I’m not.
I went to the beach a couple weekends ago and this song really hit me while I was walking and looking for seashells. I watched those waves come and wash away the dirt to reveal something totally clean and shiny, a beautiful little sand dollar. The first one I had ever seen before. As I looked at the sand dollar I thought, that is what God is doing to all of us every day. He picks us up and washes the dirt off, telling us to go back out there, to stand up, even when life gets hard and we get knocked of our feet. The wave will wash over us and make us clean again to start a new day. If you have never heard the song I think it would be great if you did and then just sit and listen to the lyrics.
