He’d never had this kind of easy banter with any of the women he’d dated while he lived in Tennessee. Even after becoming seriously involved with Jennifer for a couple of years, they’d never slipped into this type of fun conversation. When he chose to move back to Hollydale, they’d called it a day. Last he heard, she was now engaged, and he couldn’t be happier for her, which told him Jennifer definitely wasn’t the one for him.
Dating Becks had been a challenge, keeping him alive and on his feet, but he’d loved every minute. Losing her had been devastating, even if he’d been the cause of his own misery.
