This was a sweet story that adhered to the thought of second chances.
I genuinely enjoyed this look into my home state of TEXAS and their Amish population. It is not something you think about Texas having, but there are Amish people here. Pamela Desmond Wright is a new to me author and I enjoyed her writing style. It was detailed in all the right ways without going overboard.
Gail and Levi were an interesting match. I do not often find Amish books where the ‘English’ and Amish are so intertwined with one another. It was cool. I enjoyed the background that Pamela Desmon Write gave Levi and how she walked us through both characters choices. It was very well developed, and I was very please with how everything unfolded.
Definitely an author I will read from again.
