Avatar: the Last Airbender, also known as The Legend of Aang, is a Nickelodeon animated television series that continues to inspire. Avatar: The Last Airbender books are a collection of 23 comics (so far) written by Gene Luen Yang, Faith Erin Hicks, Bryan Konietzko, Michael Dante DiMartino and Illustrated by Gurihiru (the team name of the illustration duo of Chifuku Sasaki and Naoko Kawano), Peter Wartman, Adele Matera, and Published by Dark Horse Comics. They are a continuation of the Nickelodeon animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender, everything in the comics happens after the Last Airbender season episode transpires.
The first five stories are written by Gene Luen Yang and drawn by artist team Gurihiru. In December 2018, Faith Erin Hicks took over as writer with Peter Wartman as the artist.
There are Single Comic Episodes and Omnibus Collections; the short stories written have mostly been combined in a few of the Omnibus collections. I have listed them out in sections by release date/reading order, these are ongoing comic books.

The Avatar Comics begin with continuing the tale of Aang in a series of graphic novels that revolve around the characters from the Avatar series and they let us dive deeper into their adventures. This series and the continuing adventures are some of my favorite stories. You can buy them individually or as a whole collection on Amazon, but I like getting them from the comic store Things from Another World.
Note: The Omnibus’s are a collection of three stories, rather than getting a part 1, 2, 3. They are combined into one book for easier access.
