My Thoughts on Petra and the Sewer Rats

After finishing Juno and the Lady and Valen and the Beasts earlier last week I feel like I am really getting to know G.J. Kemp’s style of writing. Which is very detail oriented with vivid battle scenes and epic fantasy throughout.

Petra and the Sewer Rats is so far my favorite book in the series! (Just telling you up front though, this series is one you MUST read in order or you will not understand half of what is going on)

I loved the adventure and getting to know Petra better!

Some things I loved in this short story:

  • The twists – Some very interesting things happened here!
  • The Character growth – I felt like this book really explained why Petra made some of the choices she did
  • Really good descriptions of battle scenes and all the preparing that goes into them

Overall, this book was and is one of my favorites in the series so far. Even though it was short I felt like this book is where I finally connected the characters and the dots.

*I volunteered to read this book in return for my honest thoughts.
