Guest post: Talk about upcoming events you’ll be attending or would like to attend.

January 11, 2022 is the first big event of the year for me.  January 11th is the book launch for Happenstance Farms A New Home.  I will start a virtual media book tour and on January 15th, 2022, I will be having my first book party.   I will be showcasing the book, answering questions and introducing the characters from the first story.   There will be prize giveaways and I will sign all the books that are purchased that day.  Some of the characters from the book will be at the event and there will also be some characters from future books who will be in attendance as well.  We want to provide the non-equestrian users a glimpse into this world that Savanna has come to love so much.

The book signing party will be held on January 15, 2022, from 2:00 PM-5:00 PM at the National Equestrian Center, 6880 Lake St Louis Blvd, Lake St Louis, MO 63367. We plan on having balloons, giveaways, food, pictures and of course the signing of Happenstance Farms: A New Home.  We would like to meet as many people as we can both in and out of the equestrian community. Our stories are not only stories of a young girl and her relationship with a dog and her ponies in a new environment, but they are stories of life situations everyone has experienced. I look forward to meeting everyone at the book signing party!

My thoughts on Happenstance Farm

Happenstance Farms: A New Home by S. McMichael and Illustrated by Justo Borrero

Little bit of gushing here…

This book ah I can see why it has won an award! From the literal first page I was drawn into the scene, and it wouldn’t let me go. The pacing was great, and I loved the flow of the story.

Savanna, Coffee (her Horse), and Eli (A German Shepherd) stole my attention. I loved Savanna’s natural worry about being at a new place and the changes that come with it. It was real, believable, and realistic. Which is one of the reasons this story is so good!

The concept was one I really enjoyed, and S. McMichael did an excellent job with it (and leaving you wanting the next book!). And Justo Borrero did a marvelous job with the illustrations. They really added to the visual side of the story and helped you imaging Savanna, Coffee, and Eil on a whole new level.

I sincerely loved this book (if you couldn’t tell) and I highly recommend it to all readers 😊. It brought back so many fond memories of my own horse!

5 Stars.
