My Review of The Railroad Magnate
Going into this book I wasn’t sure if I would like it, James, the main character, has not been all that likable in the first two books. However, he did a lot of growth in this one.
I think one of the reasons I started actually enjoying his character and that of his love interest was because of the emotions they went through. There are lots of thoughts along the lines of living up to expectations and being afraid to disappoint those around you.
Here are three reasons The Railroad Magnate may intrigue you:
- It is like being immersed in the world of trains! You feel like you are definitely going on an adventure.
- The character’s thoughts and emotions are something that really stood out to me in this story.
- Karen Baney gave some great historical detail, and really brought out the character’s individual stories.
**Again Bonus: It’s a FAMILY Saga!
Overall, I started not sure if I’d like this story because of the main character, but I did end up enjoying it.
4 Stars.

I’m so glad you ended up liking James’s story. Like you mentioned, readers can expect character centric stories from my books with lots of thoughts and emotions.
